October 22, 2024

The South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association’s Spartanburg Chapter recently hosted Dine Out Spartanburg to raise money for the Hubitality Employee Relief Fund. During the three-day foodie weekend, 11 restaurants across Spartanburg County donated a portion of their sales and raised $11,206 to provide financial assistance to hospitality employees who were affected by Hurricane Helene.

Participating restaurants included: CityRange Steakhouse Grille, Delaney’s Irish Pub, Dray Bar & Grill, Flock Shop, FR8 Yard, Heirloom – A Milltown Eatery, Gerhard’s Café, Isla’s on the Square, Level 10, Willy Taco and Wade’s Restaurant.

The Hubitality Employee Relief Fund is a special fund of Hubitality created for hospitality employees residing and working in Spartanburg County who faced difficulties following Hurricane Helene. Grant recipients were required to demonstrate financial hardship and meet three criteria to qualify. The grants are to be utilized for essential needs, including food, clothing, shelter, utility bills and/or rent. More information, including the application, may be found at Hubitality.org/relief-fund.
