Discover the World of Bees with “Air Bee & Bee” at Laurens County Public Library

April 28, 2024

In an effort to celebrate the vital role of bees in our ecosystem, the Laurens County Public Library is excited to announce a special event titled “Air Bee & Bee.” Scheduled for May 6th at 4 pm at the Laurens Library (1017 W. Main Street), this engaging class invites children ages 6 to 10 to delve into the fascinating world of bees while creating their very own wild bee hotels.

The event aims to educate young participants about the importance of bees as pollinators and the challenges they face in finding suitable habitats. Attendees will have the opportunity to construct solitary bee hives, providing a welcoming home for these essential creatures right in their own backyards.

“Air Bee & Bee” will be both educational and fun, offering children a hands-on experience that highlights the significance of bees in our environment. By actively participating in building bee hotels, young learners will gain insights into the life cycle of bees and the ways in which they contribute to biodiversity.

The Laurens County Public Library encourages families to join this enriching program, which is free and open to the public. By taking part in “Air Bee & Bee,” attendees will acquire practical knowledge and contribute positively to local efforts in supporting bee populations.
