District 56 Teachers Embrace Dreambox

February 2, 2023

Laurens County School District 56 students and staff have embraced a new online learning platform, Dreambox, to help K-5th grade students engage students in mathematics while also building math proficiency.

The district held a kickoff event earlier in the fall with their “Punt, Pass, and Kickoff” math challenge at Wilder Stadium. Students who completed at least 10 lessons were eligible to participate in the math challenge and were able to cheer on the Red Devils on the field. District 56 continues to hold monthly challenges to encourage student participation.

The program, which is provided for free by the state, is adaptive and provides scaffolds for students to build their confidence with math. The program is being utilized in grades K-5 at all district elementary schools!
