Ellevate Charleston Celebrates 3rd Anniversary – Getting Noticed in a Man’s World

Ellevate Charleston will be celebrating its third anniversary breakfast at the Riley Park Club on Wednesday, November 15 at 7:00am. This will be an inspiring morning with Keynote Speaker Joan Robinson-Berry, Vice President and General Manager of Boeing South Carolina, along with networking with professional women of Charleston.
Joan Robinson-Berry, Vice President and General Manager of Boeing SC and Boeing Commercial Airplanes, has overall leadership responsibility for Boeing’s South Carolina facilities in North Charleston since June 2016. She reports to Kevin McAllister, president and chief executive officer of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. The topic of her keynote address is “Getting Noticed in a Man’s World”.
“I’m particularly excited to hear Joan Robinson-Berry talk about her experiences and how to get noticed in a man’s world,” said Ellevate Charleston Co-President Catherine Chase. “We are lucky in Charleston to have several women as leaders of large companies, but we still do not have gender equality in leadership roles. This will be a great opportunity for the women of Charleston to be inspired and learn from Ms. Robinson-Berry.”
Ellevate Charleston Co-President Christa Lanning said, “It’s amazing to have a woman at the head of a division at Boeing be able to come speak to all of our Ellevate members. With all the discussion lately about women’s rights and women in the workplace, I think having someone like Joan talk with our group will be really inspirational!”
On the day of the event, sign-in will begin at 7:00am and the breakfast will begin at 7:30am.
