Director of Business Services Nancy Grigsby Receives Payroll Citation of Merit for Third Consecutive Year

GREENWOOD, SC – May 22, 2008 –Elliott Davis LLC, one of the largest accounting and business advisory firms in the Southeast, announced that Nancy Grigsby, director of business services for its Greenwood office, has received the prestigious Payroll Citation of Merit from the American Payroll Association (APA) for the third consecutive year.

The Payroll Citation of Merit recognizes outstanding volunteer participation in Association activities. It was presented to Grigsby during the American Payroll Association’s 26th Annual Congress May 13 – 17, 2008 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, TX.

Grigsby was honored for her significant contributions to the payroll profession through her participation on APA’s Paytrain Learning System Advisory Committee and Hotline Referral Service. Last year, Grigsby was also inducted into the APA’s Hall of Fame as a result of her honors which include: recipient of the Payroll Citation of Merit award in 2006, the APA Meritorious Service Award in 2005, and the South Carolina Payroll Professional of the Year in 2000.

“My involvement in the American Payroll Association has not only been instrumental in fostering my growth in the industry, but it has been a rewarding outlet for me to give back to the industry by serving as a source of knowledge to my colleagues,” said Grigsby.

Grigsby, who joined Elliott Davis in 1976, has been an active member of the South Carolina APA (SCAPA) for thirteen years and currently is the first president of the newly-formed Western Piedmont Chapter of the APA. She served as past president of the SCAPA in 1999 and 2000.
