PulManage, Inc., a digital health company, has developed a platform for chronic lung disease which pairs with FDA-approved lung-function devices. The platform provides critical lung-function data coupled with symptom management and respiratory biomarkers for patients and medical teams in a secure portal. The system allows medical providers and researchers to survey respiratory status remotely. The company is developing predictive algorithms using AI to better understand disease patterns and mitigate risk. More than 24 million people in the United States live with chronic lung diseases such as COPD or asthma. When combined with lung cancer and respiratory diseases like COVID-19 or influenza, lung disease is the number one cause of death by disease in America.
