WHO: Parents, children, church and religious groups, community organizations, etc.
WHY: In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. The Boys & Girls Clubs offers an affordable solution for families facing this problem. Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands operates 10 Clubs and 8 summer camps in the heart of South Carolina. A Boys & Girls Club provides a safe place to learn and grow, ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals, life-enhancing programs, character development experiences, and hope and opportunity. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, a sense of usefulness, a sense of belonging and a sense of power and influence.
