Fisher Phillips Columbia attorney elected to partner

January 3, 2018

Fisher Phillips announced that George A. Reeves III has been elected to partner at the firm’s Columbia office. Reeves is one of 14 attorneys in 11 offices across the country to earn the promotion to partner, which went into effect January 1, 2018.

Reeves primarily focuses his practice on the representation of management in employment and labor litigation involving discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act.

“George’s commitment to his clients and Fisher Phillips made him a natural choice to become a partner,” said Steve Mitchell, managing partner of Fisher Phillips Columbia office. “His hard work, dedication and knowledge of labor and employment law are an asset to the firm, and we look forward to his continued growth and success in his new role.”

Additionally, Reeves represents employers in wage and hour litigation and investigations by federal and state agencies into employers’ wage and hour practices and worker misclassification issues.

Prior to receiving his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, Reeves served in the United States Navy. He is a frequent presenter for local and state Society for Human Resource Managers (SHRM) chapters and other organizations.
