Governor McMaster Declares April Month of the Military Child

On Wednesday, April 5, Governor McMaster declared April as Month of the Military Child in South Carolina.

Throughout the month, several events are taking place across South Carolina to recognize military-connected children in our state.

Established in 1986 by Caspar Weinberger, a former Defense Secretary, Month of the Military Child honors the 1.6 million young heroes in the United States who face many challenges and unique experiences as a result of their parents’ service to this country.
