Greenville Technical College to Host FAFSA Fridays for Financial Aid Awareness Month

GREENVILLE, SC – February is Financial Aid Awareness Month and the Financial Aid Office at Greenville Technical College (GTC) will host free FAFSA workshops called FAFSA Fridays. Financial aid officers will be available in the Admissions and Registration Center (ARC) computer lab to assist students in completing their 2015-2016 FAFSA every Friday, February 13 – March 27, 8 a.m. – noon. Attendees aren’t required to be current students at GTC to participate.

Sessions will be held at branch campuses, 8 a.m. – noon as follows:

• Brashier Campus February 13 and March 13
• Benson Campus February 20 and March 20
• Northwest Campus February 27 and March 27

Students and at least one parent of dependent students must request a PIN. If you do not know or lost your PIN, visit www.pin.ed.gov. Students should bring the 2014 federal tax returns (if filed) for the following persons depending on your status:

• Independent Students – student AND spouse, if married
• Dependent Students – student AND parent

The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. It’s the form to fill out in order to apply for student grants, work-study, and loans. To receive federal student aid for the 2015-2016 school year, students must complete the FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov.
