Group 1 Automotive Acquires Hilton Head BMW Dealership

HOUSTON, TX – January 26, 2012 – Group 1 Automotive, Inc. (NYSE: GPI),a Fortune 500 automotive retailer, today announced the acquisition ofHilton Head BMW in Blufton, S.C., that is expected to generate $45.0 million in estimated annual revenues.
Hilton Head BMW is our thirteenth BMW franchise in the United States, said Earl J. Hesterberg, Group 1’s president and chief executive officer, and will complement Group 1’s existing Audi, BMW and Toyota dealerships in South Carolina.
