Hispanic Chamber Member Brings Spanish Academy to Upstate

January 20, 2015

GREER, SC – SC Hispanic Chamber member Julia E. Pinto held the grand opening of her academy, El Mundo en Español SC, last Monday.

El Mundo en Español SC offers Spanish courses for beginning, intermediate and advanced students during Spring and Fall semesters.

After years as a teacher and volunteer, Pinto realized she could start her own school and brought her expertise to the community.

Pinto built El Mundo en Español around the desire to spread the Spanish language and the Latin American culture. Pinto’s unique vision is to see more and more people successfully assimilated and welcomed into this culture.

“I love to teach, and I love my language,” Pinto said. “The academy is made up of very small classes so I can pay special attention to each student’s needs personally. I’m very patient.”

Classes are uniquely designed with no more than six students in each class.
