Holder Properties welcomes Launch Pad to 174 Meeting office building
December 9, 2015Holder Properties, a privately held full-service commercial and residential real estate developer, has announced that Launch Pad leased 15,000 square feet at 174 Meeting, a 52,000 square foot premier Class ‘A’ office building located in Downtown Charleston.
Launch Pad is a collaborative workspace and community of entrepreneurs, creative professionals and freelancers. The company occupies the second floor of the building in the previous Certus Bank space. Charles Constant with Domicile Charleston represented Launch Pad in this transaction.
Charleston Launch Pad founders Barre Tanguis and Chris Schultz are well-versed in the booming technology business and are embracing collaborative culture with their newly opened workspace at 174 Meeting Street in the heart of downtown. “Launch Pad is all inclusive- printing, coffee, meeting rooms, meeting equipment. That is our value proposition- everything you need to run your business is done.
Just bring your laptop and start working,” explained Tanguis. Desk memberships are month-to-month and offices start with six month leases. Coworking rates are $250, and a permanent desk is $450. Office suites start at $1200. All of this takes away the anxiety of being locked into a commercial office lease.
“We have the flexible work space with the sharing of equipment, meaning that folks have better access to facilities than they could get on their own,” explained Tanguis.
Charleston is the first expansion city for Launch Pad, and there are plans to expand to other cities as well. Tanguis said, “we love Charleston, and we are excited to be in an amazing city that shares our vision of a great America where people are choosing to live for the quality of life, and building their careers and businesses here.”
Additional tenants in 174 Meeting include Stifel, Nicolaus & Company and Atlatl. The building has approximately 4,000 square feet available for lease on the first floor and 9,000 square feet available on the fourth floor.
