HRP Associates promotes three, adds new project manager

GREENVILLE, SC – HRP Associates Inc. (HRP) recently promoted three leaders in its Greenville office and added a project manager. Tad Goetcheus, PE, was promoted to executive vice president of the company. Also promoted were Shaun Malin, PG, to regional office manager of the South/Midwest region and Jackie Baxley, PE, to corporate director of environmental health and safety compliance services. HRP’s Greenville office also added Scott C. Anderson, PG, as a project manager. HRP is a 135-person, $28M environmental engineering risk management consulting firm with eight offices.

Tad Goetcheus has been employed with HRP for 28 years as an environmental engineering and risk management consultant specializing in the areas of EPA/state environmental health and safety compliance, as well as risk management and site contamination investigation, remediation, and economic redevelopment. Under his direction, the Greenville office completed environmental engineering and risk management projects in 17 states, as well as in Canada and Mexico. Goetcheus holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Clarkson University and has Professional Engineering licenses in 15 states.

Promoted from senior project manager, Shaun Malin’s responsibilities now include the operational general management, financial performance, business development and technical support to a project and management staff of engineers, scientists and geologists with a focus on site contamination investigations and remediation, as well as Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) compliance. Malin has been employed with HRP for six years and is a graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental geology. He also holds a master’s degree from Clemson University in hydrogeology.

Jackie Baxley has been employed with HRP for nine years. Promoted from senior project manager, her responsibilities now include serving as a consolidating and guiding resource on EH&S tasks for HRP leadership, project managers and staff by a consistent, quality standard of work for EH&S deliverables. Baxley will be directing and mentoring employees within HRP and providing an awareness platform for them to work in a safe, healthful and environmentally compliant manner, in addition to providing a technical platform for HRP EH&S staff to foster their own professional growth and better serve clients as a result. Baxley is a graduate of Mercer University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering, and she also holds a master’s degree from Clemson University in environmental systems engineering.

Scott C. Anderson’s responsibilities will include the technical support of projects and management of hydrogeological staff with a focus on site contamination investigations and remediation. Anderson will also direct the regional efforts of business development in the area of Brownfield and innovative remediation technologies. Some of his notable clients include Fortune 500 entities, chemical manufacturers and private equity and developers. Anderson is a graduate of the University of South Florida where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in geology.
