Professionally perform duties as a public front counter technician and first contact with walk-in customers to the Department of Public Safety. Answer the multi-line phone system to assist the campus community calling for information or assistance from the Department of Public Safety. Support Parking Services to include data entry, parking permits and collection of fines using the Clancy Parking Management System. Create and issue University ID cards, dispatch police, parking and safety officers as needed and record transactional data into the CAD 911 system. Enter, maintain and update files on Uniform Patrol citations. Record and maintain all data from filing reimbursements with Spartanburg County. Assist with testing emergency operating systems. Provide clerical support for the Transportation/Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
• Serve walk-in customers at the public front counter by assisting with procurement of parking permits, ID cards, data entry, directions, general university information, providing copies of vehicle accident and police reports, collecting fines and inputting data into the Clancy Parking Management System.
• Answer multi-line phones to assist callers, dispatch officers to calls for service as needed and accurately record data into the CAD 911 system.
• Assist the Administrative Manager with day-to-day scheduling of the CBORD door access control system to include door unlocks/locks, updating department schedules, faculty/staff/student access and emergency campus lockdown procedures. Conduct quarterly tests of the CBORD system, outdoor emergency notification system and indoor emergency notification systems.
• Assist the Transportation/Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator with AAA Driving rosters, training and certification requirements (TS-100 forms, DMV 10 year driving records and justification forms) for all USC Upstate employees authorized to drive a university vehicle. Assist with scheduling athletic transportation for student athletes as well as faculty/staff field trips.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/or equivalent (GED) and 2 years of related experience. Valid driver’s license and good driving record. A successful background check is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Must have excellent customer service skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Salary: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
