FLSA Status: Full-time/Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $55k-$57K plus benefits

Position Summary: The Construction Site Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of 30–50 homes per year to be built directly by the Homes of Hope Construction Division in Greenville County and surrounding Upstate communities. Under the direct supervision of the HOH Construction Manager, this position will coordinate and oversee all phases of site construction, including reporting material needs and delivery checks, scheduling and completion of work performed by sub-contractors, and final punch-out of homes in preparation for lease-up to Homes of Hope rental clients.

Specific duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing weekly work schedules per job site, including reporting material and equipment needs and delivery checks as well as sub- contractor scheduling and supervision, to support on-time completion of projects within budget.
  • Developing, implementing and ensuring adherence to a quality control and safety program/checklist for HOH construction projects.
  • Obtaining permits and other documentation necessary for commencement of projects.
  • Coordinating and meeting with inspectors for county, city or other applicable compliance requirements.
  • Tracking project costs and on-site materials and equipment inventory.
  • In conjunction with the Construction Manager, establishing standards for unit completion cycle time and cost variances and ensuring adherence to established standards for all HOH Construction projects.
  • Maintaining clean job sites for safety and HOH reputation.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of Residential Construction experience
  • 2+Years of Construction Management and project budgeting experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of applicable construction regulations/Code.
  • Professionalism – Represents Homes of Hope in a professional manner and in keeping with the organization’s core values in interactions with others. Holds others accountable and accepts responsibility for his/her own actions.
  • Attendance/Punctuality – Consistently arrives to job sites and appointments on time and ensures responsibilities are covered when absent.
  • Dependability – Follows instructions; Responds to management directions; Completes task on time or notifies management with alternate plan.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing, speaking and listening.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and time management skills necessary to successfully facilitate multiple projects in multiple locations simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and use of handheld technology devices.
  • Valid SC Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Affordable Housing Construction
  • Personal vehicle appropriate for the day-to-day requirements of the position. Mileage reimbursement applies.

Occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions that are both hot and cold in nature. The noise levels in the work environment is usually loud.

Working Conditions: 10% In Office, 87% Off Site/Construction Site and 3% Remote
