REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or Related Field and/or 5+ Years of Related Experience
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of human resource strategies and practices, including:
Compensation
Performance Management
Recruitment & Retention
Ability to create and promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, collaboration and teamwork.
Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning.
Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now platform

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Management of recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding
Ensures job descriptions are current, compliant, and properly posted.
Creates a compensation strategy for team members in coordination with finance department.
Timely and appropriate communication to team members
Assistance with performance evaluations & disciplinary meetings
Processing of bi-weekly payroll
Management of HRIS (ADP Workforce Now)
Benefits coordination & Administration
Determine ways/methods to reduce expenditures by improving processes
Administrator of Microsoft Office applications
Contractual Compliance (e.g.: Annual COI submissions to customers)
Investigate team member issues and conflicts and brings them to a resolution.
Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
Other Administrative Responsibilities as Requested
Manages, applies for and negotiates benefits, liability insurance and other required policies.

The Human Resources Manager (HR) of Thorne Ambulance Service, LLC is responsible for the general oversight of the human resources functions of the organization. The primary emphasis of this position will be the recruitment and retention of staff to support the growth and vision of the organization.

The HR Manager shall respond to team member requests in a timely fashion, resolve outstanding issues with an empathetic delivery, and shall be an excellent communicator across a multi-generational workforce. HR will report to the Chief Executive Officer of the organization and shall be responsible for preparing and presenting reports on a regular basis. These reports will include: turnover by department (voluntary vs. involuntary), payroll reports, workplace survey results, etc.

The ideal candidate for this position will have an extensive human resources background, along with work experience that demonstrates strong management capabilities, fiscal responsibility, and someone who is a self-starter. The ideal candidate will require minimal oversight, will be well organized, and excited to grow with the organization.
