The International Student Services Coordinator will provide support services to the growing international student population on the USC Upstate campus through the Center for International Studies (CIS). Services provided will be on-campus and off-campus and may be outside of normal office hours including evenings, weekends, and academic holidays with the purpose of providing safe, meaningful experiences for international students which bolsters enrollment and retention efforts.
• Plan semester events calendar which includes programming during evenings, weekends, and academic holidays. Provide or arrange transportation to and from planned events. Be actively involved during planned events so insure a safe and meaningful student experience.
• Coordinate and assist with initial and continuing orientation, student integration activities, and partnership of international and domestic students through on-campus programming arranged by the Center for International Studies (CIS).
• Coordinate transportation for student arrivals, departures, shopping trips, immigration appointments, or other requirements based on student needs throughout the academic year. Arrange arrival details in coordination with Office of Housing and Residential Life or local housing complexes to ensure a positive first in-person experience with USC Upstate.
• Coordinate and serve as the point of contact for globally-themed events both on and off campus and will liaise with other campus entities, such at the Office of Student Involvement, and community partners to promote programs for internationals, including working with student organizations.
• Oversee Center for International Studies (CIS) social media pages to promote the internationalization of the USC Upstate campus through international student engagement and education abroad/away.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree. Experience working or volunteering with international populations. Successful background check, valid driver’s license and good driving record and willingness to drive a 15 passenger van. Flexible schedule as nights and weekends are required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in a language other than English. Basic graphic design experience using social media platforms or Canva.

Salary: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
