Reports to: Director of Men’s Workforce Development
FLSA Status: Full-time/Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $52k-55K plus benefits

Position Summary: The Project Coordinator provides leadership, supervision and training to program interns (up to 12) and volunteers on Hope House construction sites, classroom and special projects. Oversee each construction project so that it is scheduled and completed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner. Is ultimately responsible to and for the tasks in the way Project Foreman is responsible to and for the men.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Must be an effective, active listener
  • Prepares and teaches Men’s Workforce Development Staff/Intern devotion on Wednesday morning
  • Keeps up with routine maintenance Men’s Workforce Development Fleet vehicles
  • Plans and coordinates Hope House builds at the instruction of Director and in cooperation with Project Foreman, General Contractor and Real Estate Development staff according to the specific site plan and blueprint.
  • Create and coordinate Hope House build schedule to include 6 volunteer weekends
  • Performs monthly job performance reviews on interns with Project Foremen and reports to Director
  • Provides structured training of interns
  • Responsible to coordinate the delivery of materials to the job site in a timely fashion
  • Keeps good records
  • Coordinates volunteers, material and schedule for Friday class at Training Center
  • Writes and updates all training manuals with Project Foreman
  • Look for fundraising opportunities
  • Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information
  • Ensure that each job site is a safe environment free from any and all hazards
  • Understand and follow purchase order process
  • Maintain positive relationships with building inspectors
  • Attend and pursue any relevant continuing education opportunities
  • Occasional weekend work as determined by Hope House Schedule
  • Daily review/respond to emails and pertinent texts or phone calls
  • Performing other work-related duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide leadership and instruction to interns and volunteers on Hope House work sites from beginning to 100% completion
  • Require that volunteers consistently have positive and productive experiences
  • Require that all safety regulations and procedures are followed on and off Homes of Hope work sites
  • Oversee program interns and conduct regular performance reviews
  • Ability to oversee and lead small groups of employees or volunteers as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Pastors heart with a passion to see men change their lives through Addiction Recovery
  • 3+ Years of New Construction Experience
  • 1+ Years of Construction Management Experience
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to train and develop
  • Ability to speak comfortably in large groups
  • Problem solving, attention to detail, planning and critical thinking
  • Availability to occasionally work on weekends
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and additional technology
  • Valid SC Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years of New Construction Experience
  • 3+ Years of Construction Management experience
  • Biblically literate

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk. The employee is frequently required to use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions that are both hot and cold in nature. The employee is frequently exposed to moving and vibrating mechanical machines or parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, airborne particles, and fumes caustic in nature. The noise levels in the work environment is usually loud.

Working Conditions: 30% office or classroom setting, 67% in a construction work site environment and 3% working remote
