K&L Gates’ Charleston office welcomes W. Ford Graham

The Charleston office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes W. Ford Graham as a lawyer in the corporate and economic incentives/development practices. Mr. Graham joins K&L Gates from the South Carolina Department of Commerce (SCDOC), where, among other activities, he managed SCDOC’s international recruiting efforts and led global investment strategy for the state. In this capacity, Mr. Graham also directed and oversaw South Carolina’s four international offices in Delhi, Munich, Shanghai, and Tokyo.

With nearly a decade of experience in the corporate and economic incentives/development sectors, Mr. Graham has been one of the leading recruiters of foreign companies to the state of South Carolina. He has facilitated new industry and industrial expansion in over 72 projects, resulting in commitments of more than 7,300 new jobs and $2.5 billion in new investment.

Mr. Graham received his juris doctor from the University of South Carolina’s School of Law, his International Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business, and his Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University in New Orleans. He has also worked as an expat for several years in both Europe and Latin America.
