Laurens City Fire Gauging Interest for Teen First Responder Camp

March 22, 2024

The Laurens City Fire Department is on a mission to give back to the community while educating its youth. They’re interested in offering a free week-long camp for teens aged 13-18, focusing on fire safety, CPR certification, Stop-the-Bleed, and basic first aid.

The goal? Equipping the next generation with life-saving skills and fostering a deeper understanding of first responders’ roles.

Led by Hunter Hazel, this initiative aims to bridge the gap between first responders and the community. Participants will engage in hands-on activities and real-life scenarios, gaining invaluable insights into emergency response.

Beyond education, the Fire Department is providing medical supplies and fire safety equipment for homes, ensuring participants have the tools to act effectively in critical situations.

Parents interested in this empowering opportunity for their teens can contact Hunter Hazel at [email protected] or 864-984-3312.

Prepare your teens today for a safer tomorrow with Laurens City Fire Department’s Teen Camp.
