Laurens Master Gardener Volunteer Training Course: Cultivate Your Green Thumb!

The Laurens Master Gardener Volunteer Training Course is now open for registration! Starting August 13 and running through December 3, 2024, this comprehensive training program offers a unique opportunity for gardening enthusiasts of all levels to deepen their knowledge and skills.

Classes will be held every Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Clemson Extension Office, located at 219 W Laurens Street, Laurens. Each week, a different topic will be presented by Clemson Extension Agents and Horticulture professionals. Topics include vegetable gardening, tree fruits and small fruits, urban tree care, soils and plant nutrition, pollinators and beekeeping, annuals and perennials, and many more.

No prior experience is necessary, and beginners are welcome and encouraged to join! The course fee is $300, with a registration deadline of August 1.
