Laurens Police Department Officers Graduate from South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy

Last week Laurens Police Department (LPD) Officers Heather Hall and Officer Tayquon Johnson graduated from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy as certified class 1 law enforcement officers after 12 weeks of training,

Officer Johnson is a former wrestler and standout football player with Clemson University. He has a passion to serve as an officer in the Laurens community.

Officer Hall is a veteran and also has prior law enforcement experience working in the Greenville County Detention Center. Her dedication and commitment will bring much to the LPD.

“We are very proud of Officer Hall and Officer Johnson,” said Laurens Police Chief Keith Grounsell. “This is a great accomplishment, but only the beginning of what will be a long career as a public servant. They each being their own unique style and skills to our department that will make them an asset to the entire community. I look forward to great things from both of these officers.”
