Mike Holmes is the 24 th inductee into the NAA Hall of Fame

The National Apartment Association (NAA) has announced the induction of Mike Holmes, CAPS, President and CEO of Easlan Management Company, into the NAA Hall of Fame. Holmes accepted the award – the highest association honor that can be bestowed upon a rental housing professional – during Apartmentalize, NAA’s annual conference and exposition, held June 19-21 in Philadelphia.

Holmes has been an active leader throughout the rental housing industry for nearly 50 years. Before starting a groundbreaking in-house property management operation at Easlan in 1987, Holmes entered the industry with U.S. Shelter Corp. and quickly gained experience in asset management, syndication and accounting. At Easlan, Holmes’ leadership has propelled the organization to a portfolio of apartments across the southern United States. A longtime volunteer leader at his local and state apartment associations, Holmes was selected as NAA’s 2020 Chair of the Board, where his leadership directly supported rental housing professionals with the support, resources and tools needed to remain resilient through the global pandemic.

“Mike’s longstanding dedication to our industry has made a meaningful difference, and his career is marked by commitment, accomplishment and compassion,” said NAA President and CEO Bob Pinnegar. “His leadership guided our industry through a period of unprecedented uncertainty, and his resolve helped the industry endure. NAA congratulates Mike on this incredibly well-deserved recognition honoring his lasting contributions to rental housing.”

“I am beyond thrilled, honored and humbled to be recognized with this hall of fame induction, and I gratefully accept this honor,” said Holmes during his acceptance speech at Apartmentalize. “I did not win this award alone. I may be a leader, but no leader can succeed without the support of others. We all did this together. It was true during the pandemic, and it’s true about everything we do as a part of our industry.”
