Monstrously Batty Crafts at the Laurens Library

October 20, 2024

The Laurens Library is getting into the Halloween spirit with two special craft programs for kids and teens. Located at 1017 W. Main Street, the library invites children and teens to join the fun and creativity with Halloween-themed crafts.

On October 21st, kids aged 6-10 are invited to “Go Batty!” Participants will get the chance to color their very own paper bats to take home, while also learning fascinating facts about the 15 different bat species that call South Carolina home. This event is a great way for kids to celebrate their fuzzy winged friends while crafting.

For older kids, the library is offering a unique and spooky craft event on Halloween itself. Teens aged 11-17 can “Get Monstrous” on October 31st by making their own Frankentoys. Using discarded toys, teens can channel their inner Victor Frankenstein and piece together their own eerie creations.

Both programs are free and open to the public, making them perfect for families looking for fun, creative, and educational activities this October.
