August 29, 2022

The Who’s on the Move, Non Profit Minute is an interview in support of the amazing impact that local non profits have on our communities.

We would like to thank our sponsors of this video series:

Jennifer Neese, Executive Director, Dyslexia Resource Center

Dyslexia literally means “difficulty with words” and is characterized by struggles learning to read, write and spell, despite average to above-average intelligence. Dyslexia runs in families, and chances are 40-45% that if you have dyslexia your child will, too.

Established just over 20 years ago, the Dyslexia Resource Center offers services and resources for students who struggle with reading and those who teach them. With the support of donors and volunteers, they change the trajectory of student lives by helping them gain the skills necessary to become readers.

Their mission is to help beginning and struggling readers by 1) raising awareness of dyslexia, 2) offering affordable and direct services, and 3) training educators in evidenced-based reading instruction.
