Online reporter to discuss challenges of Internet media

CHARLESTON, SC – March 23, 2010 – Jonathan Martin, founding reporter for the Internet journal POLITICO will discuss the challenge of Internet media in the 21st Century at 6:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, March 23) in Duckett Hall Auditorium.

Martin is a senior political writer at POLITICO where he covers national politics.  He previously covered the presidential race for, spending two years on the campaign trail and blogging every day about the historic contest.  He then was on the White House beat for the first year of the Obama administration.

Before coming to POLITICO, Martin worked at National Journal’s The Hotline and at National Review.  Martin regularly appears on CNN, MSNBC, NPR, ABC and CBS to discuss politics.  His work has been published in The New Republic, the National Journal and the Washington Post.

The lecture is another in the series supported by the John C. West Endowment in American Politics and International Relations. It is free and open to the public.
