Only a few days left to vote for the Upstate’s Worst Website

June 4, 2012

GREENVILLE, SC – June 4, 2012 – There isn’t much time left to decide which Upstate company has the worst website and will be rewarded with a free new site  from web company Engenius.

Engenius started The Upstate’s Worst Website competition as a way to underscore the need for a good website, which for many companies serves as the initial storefront into the business, said Chris Manley, Engenius’ managing partner.

We wanted to have a fun way of spreading this message, he said.

Voters can click www.upstatesworstwebsite.com to see the three finalists, who to protect the innocent won’t be named here. The website with the most votes tallied by June 7 will win a redesign at no cost from Engenius, a leading provider of business and nonprofit websites. People can vote once per day for their favorite (or to be exact, least favorite ) site on the list.

Any Upstate business was eligible to apply as long as the nomination came from someone in authority in the company.  A team of judges experienced in the aspects of good web design spent the past two weeks reviewing, grading and lamenting the myriad uses of clip art, dead links, hard-to-find contact pages and nauseating color choices.
