Rootimentary in Laurens to Close Its Doors: A Heartfelt Farewell

May 24, 2024

Rootimentary in Laurens has announced its closing date with heavy hearts. The establishment will serve its final meal at 9 PM on Saturday, May 25. This decision comes as Chef Caleb and Jess, the passionate duo behind Rootimentary, seek to spend more time with their son following a diagnosis that requires their increased presence at home.

In a heartfelt message to their patrons, Caleb and Jess expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming support and love they have received from the Laurens community. “This has been a difficult decision, as we have made so many wonderful relationships since beginning this journey,” they shared. “You’ve made us feel loved and we are blown away by the support we have felt from so many of you.”

The couple invites the community to join them this weekend to celebrate the time they’ve shared and to say goodbye before the space transitions to a new chapter. Caleb and Jess are dedicated to working with the Holmes family and the City of Laurens to find a suitable tenant who will continue to serve the town with the same love and dedication.

While the news has undoubtedly sparked many questions, Caleb and Jess have respectfully asked for privacy as they navigate this transition.

Rootimentary’s closing marks the end of a cherished era for its owners and patrons, but the community looks forward to the new ventures that will take root in its place at some point in the future.
