SeamonWhiteside announces second round of graduates from Leadership Training and Mentorship Program

October 10, 2022

With less communication and collaboration between aspiring and current leaders, there is a growing gap between these two groups causing a higher company turnover rate and a lack of ready and willing successors. As a result, companies have trouble retaining talent and developing new leaders without strong leadership. SeamonWhiteside (SW+), a full-service site design firm throughout the Carolinas, is addressing the lack of leadership development with its Leadership Training and Mentorship Program.

The program was created to identify leaders within the firm and provide them with the tools they need to grow. In addition, the firm aims to develop the next generation of leaders by providing them with resources they can carry into the operations of their future roles. The program recently celebrated its second round of graduates, including Mary Martinich, Paul Talbert, Tommy Huang, and Trey Little.

This program is uniquely and specifically catered to the culture and environment at SeamonWhiteside. The “SeamonWhiteside Way,” which includes all of the ins and outs of the company and its niche, civil engineering, and land development in the Carolinas, can only be taught by leaders who understand what the “SeamonWhiteside Way” is. Through this program, the mentees learn the specific processes (protocol, proposals, contract review, etc.) used at SeamonWhiteside.

Leaders must train and develop their successors within the company. By creating more facetime and communication between these two groups, they are investing in the long-term success of both the company as a whole and its workforce.
