Southland Log Homes Welcomes New Employees and Announces Promotions at Their National Headquarters

IRMO, SC – September 22, 2008 – Southland Log Homes, the largest and most established log home company in the United States, has announced recent hires and staff promotions at their corporate headquarters in Irmo, South Carolina.

Walt Haynes, Vice President of Christiansburg Sales assumes the position of Vice President of Sales/ Model Development. Haynes will work in all 16 sales models to increase overall sales effectiveness.

Mandy Smith is appointed Vice President of Human Resources. Mandy is responsible for recruiting, compensation and benefits, and general human resources administration.

Elizabeth Ballington has been promoted to Director of Project Management. Her responsibilities include overseeing all project managers and ensuring satisfaction of customers.

Joe Richardelli is moving from the position of Fredericksburg Managing Partner to Manager of Dealer Originations. In his new role, Joe will be responsible for acquiring new dealers outside the Southland Log Home footprint.

Daniel Irons has been named to the new position of Manager of Dealer Operations. Daniel’s new responsibilities include coordinating all dealer activities and assisting with new dealer acquisitions.

Leslie Conner is promoted to Buyer in the Purchasing Department. She is responsible for procurement of windows, doors and other non-lumber materials.

Jill Howell, who was previously Senior Office Manager in the Irmo Sales Office, is promoted to Project Manager supporting the Christiansburg, VA, Fredericksburg, VA, Memphis, TN and Irmo sales models. 

Danielle Porter is appointed Project Manager. She will be assuming full project management responsibilities for the Greenville, SC, Greensboro, NC, Louisville, KY, Gatlinburg, TN and Boone, NC, sales models.

Linda Cato is appointed Accounts Payable Manager. She is responsible for vendor payments.

Jonathan Weekes has joined the company as Manager of Information Systems. Jonathan is responsible for all computer and network infrastructures, telecom services and the security/integrity of the company’s electronic data.

Other new hires include Mike Loy as Vice President of Design, Craig Corbitt as Contracts Administrator, Richard Robertson as Technical Support Manager, Ray Rast as Cut Sheets Designer and Brian Gallup as Networks Administrator. 

The Irmo office, which is the corporate headquarters of Southland Log Homes, was opened in 1978. Since then, Southland has opened 18 model home sales offices in ten states and exclusive dealers worldwide.
