What role does SCE&G see itself playing in the local communities it serves?  How do they give back to local communities? Its employees are at the core of their giving efforts.  They volunteer their time and energy to various charitable groups, but SCE&G also makes corporate contributions to eligible charitable organizations within their electric and natural gas service area.  SCE&G supports the following focus areas: Arts/Culture, Community/Civic, Education, Environment, and Health.

Recently they partnered with Brookland Baptist Church and the Brookland-Lakeview Empowerment Center to renovate the former Lakeview School in West Columbia.

We sat down with Stephanie Jones, Supervisor of Corporate Philanthropy and Community Affairs for South Carolina Electric & Gas Company, to talk about some of the good things going on at SCE&G.
