SWU Names Snyder as V.P. for Marketing

CENTRAL, SC – February 10, 2009 – Southern Wesleyan University has named Bruce Snyder to the position of vice president of marketing and enrollment development.

Snyder currently serves as associate dean of administration and marketing for the School of Global Leadership and Entrepreneurship at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Va. He has also served with major advertising and marketing agencies and brings extensive experience in strategic marketing and specifically e-marketing techniques and processes. 

He earned a bachelor’s degree in science from Southwestern University in Waxahachie, Tex., in 1990 and his master’s in business administration at Regent University in 1994. 

Snyder is the first person to assume the newly-created job and will oversee the university’s marketing and recruitment efforts. Dr. David Spittal, Southern Wesleyan University president, said that Snyder will provide leadership for integrated and coordinated marketing, branding and administration of all enrollment systems and strategies for both traditional and extended adult and graduate programs. 

“This appointment reflects the qualifications and experience that we desire to provide leadership for our university marketing and enrollment management personnel and programs,” Spittal said.

Southern Wesleyan University prepares students for leadership and graduate study in such fields as religion, education, music, business, medicine, law and a variety of civic and social service professions. Southern Wesleyan offers 35 major areas of study for undergraduates and graduate degrees in the areas of business, education and ministry. The university’s main campus is in Central and there are regional learning centers across the state, in locations such as Greenville, Columbia, Charleston and North Augusta. Classes are also offered in Spartanburg and Greenwood.
