Tindall VP of Human Resources Honored with Founders Award

December 17, 2014

SPARTANBURG, SC – Tindall Corporation Vice President of Human Resources Donnie Brown has been recognized with the Founders Award from the Southern Association of Colleges and Employers, the most prestigious award the organization can bestow on one of its members.

To be considered for the award, the individual must have been active and contributed significantly in the development of programs, participated in extensive leadership roles, contributed in an innovative way to the development of the profession and/or otherwise represented the association in an exemplary manner.

The award is given only when the Board of Directors deems there to be a deserving recipient and is not an annual award. In fact, only two other people have received this award since 2007.

“I’m quite certain all of the attributes for the award were readily seen in Donnie by all those who have worked with him in this association,” said Greg Force, Tindall president and COO. “We are truly fortunate to have such a dedicated and outstanding individual among our ranks.”

The Southern Association of Colleges and Employers is a 700-member organization of human resource, college relations, and career services professionals representing employers and universities. SoACE brings 110 years of history, tradition and professional excellence together to provide leadership and vision to college career services and recruiting.

SoACE is active in 15 southern “sunbelt” states, including some of our nation’s most vibrant economies, fastest growing cities and most diverse populations. Membership includes more than 800 college career services professionals and corporate human resources/recruiting professionals who hire college graduates.

“The Founders Award was one of the highest honors that I’ve ever received, and I appreciate so much the work that SoACE does throughout the United States,” Brown said. “It’s such an honor to be recognized by my peers and colleagues.”

Brown has been an HR professional for more than 41 years and has been active in various colleges and employer associations for more than 13 years. He is a highly accredited senior leader in human resources. Brown has a bachelor’s degree in education from Furman University and a master’s in arts and teaching from UNC Chapel Hill.
