United Way welcomes new Success Coach and Resource Coordinator, Jennifer Brown

United Way of Pickens County welcomed Jennifer Brown as the new Pathways Success Coach and Resource Coordinator. Brown previously served a year with United Way as an AmeriCorps member.

As a Pathways Success Coach, Jennifer will provide intensive, one-on-one financial coaching to hardworking, low-income Pickens County individuals and families. Pathways is a 6-18 month program which equips participants with the skills, knowledge and resources necessary to achieve freedom over finances through focusing on budgeting, debt management, asset-building, credit and more,

As Resource Coordinator, Brown will connect people with local resources to meet immediate needs such as shelter, food, etc. She will also act as a liaison between non-profits and the 2-1-1 24/7 resource hotline.
