Verizon Wireless Presents $14,000 to Hospice of the Upstate to Improve Patient Care

GREENVILLE, SC – February 1, 2012 – Today, Verizon Wireless presented $14,000 to Hospice of Upstate as a result of Verizon’s 5th Annual Carolinas/Tennessee Agent Invitational golf tournament. Through the efforts of the Verizon Wireless Local Agent team, the tournament has generated $35,000, all of which has been donated to Hospice of the Upstate, over the past five years.  The formal check presentation was held today at the Verizon Wireless Carolinas/Tennessee Regional Headquarters. 

“We are thrilled that the Agent Invitational has had such success, representing over 350 retail locations in our region,” said Tim Butler, Verizon Wireless Carolinas/Tennessee Region Director of Indirect Sales.  “We believe it is our responsibility to improve our community, and this event presents a great opportunity for us to give back and support a worthy cause in the Upstate.”
