William Johnson named 2024 Best Lawyers® ‘Lawyer of the Year’ for business organizations in Columbia

Best Lawyers has recognized Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. shareholder William R. Johnson as the 2024 “Lawyer of the Year” for business organizations (including LLCs and partnerships) in Columbia, South Carolina.

Will leads Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd’s Economic Development practice group and focuses on economic development, corporate law and tax matters. His work includes negotiating and drafting fees in lieu of tax (FILOT) agreements, structuring special source revenue credit arrangements and assisting companies with other incentives such as job development and job tax credits.
Will’s work has helped facilitate more than $10 billion in domestic and foreign investment in South Carolina. In addition to his economic development practice, he also maintains corporate and tax practices.
