Women After Five 14th Annual Silent Auction & Reception Benefiting Sistercare of theMidlands

Sistercare provides services for battered women and their children, and promotes prevention of domestic violence through community training and advocacy.

Their services include:

  • A crisis line, staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by a counselor who is available to talk with victims/survivors of domestic violence.
  • Emergency Shelter, which is available for battered women and their children. Their shelter program includes individual and group counseling for women and children and legal advocacy.
  • Community services, i.e., support groups for women, counseling for children, legal advocacy, individual counseling, hospital response and shelter follow-up.
  • Community Education and training on the issues of domestic violence are offered to the community.
