Heart Trail Run Set for Dec. 8 In Anderson

5K and 10K Run/Walk Featured Along Scenic Trails
ANDERSON, SC – Anyone who is thinking about getting into shape in time for the holidays will want to put the Heart Trail Run on their calendars for Dec. 8 at the Glen Raven manufacturing plant in Anderson, S.C., 4665 Liberty Highway.
The scenic trail consists of rolling terrain that winds through a pine forest passing by pastures, old barns and Hurricane Creek. Start times are 8:30 a.m. for 5K and 10K run/walk, and online registration is available at http://crossyourheartrun.webs.com or at www.active.com.
“This is a great course for a great cause,” said Judd Bailey, chairman of the Glen Raven Running Club, which is sponsoring the race. “All proceeds will go to benefit the American Heart Association and its mission of stroke and heart attack prevention.”
The 5K run will make one loop around the course, while the 10K will make two loops. Awards will be presented to 5K/10K winners in male and female competition along with masters and grandmasters three deep. Packet pick-up begins at 7 a.m. on race day, with food and beverage provided at the finish line and fluids on the course.

Glen Raven’s Anderson Plant is located just off of Interstate Highway 85, Exit 21. Follow S.C. Highway 178N for one mile toward Liberty.
