A Conversation with AJ Agrawal, CEO of Alumnify – PART 3

April 14, 2014

The Life of a Startup – Every couple of weeks, MidlandsBiz is going to check in with Tminus6 accelerator company, Alumnify.

Alumnify is a platform designed specifically to help universities reengage young alumni. It allows alumni to pinpoint donations to organizations and causes that they are passionate about and, ultimately, turns recent graduates into lifelong donors.

They are part of the first class of six high-impact companies that were accepted in Columbia’s new startup accelerator called Tminus6.

Part III – One of the biggest challenges in attempting to bring an application from concept to the market is coordinating the efforts of developers. Teamwork is critical.  On March 31, Alumnify successfully listed its application on the Android store and completed the process for approval on the Apple store. They traveled to San Diego to compete in the University of San Diego V2 Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition where they took home first prize and $40,000.
