A Conversation with David Taylor, CEO & President, The University Center of Greenville
March 13, 2013The largest metropolitan area in the state, Greenville County does not have a full four-year public college or university within its borders. But it does have The University Center of Greenville, one of the coolest and most original educational institutions we have ever seen. David A. Taylor, who joined the University Center in May 2011, has led the development of a new strategic plan, bringing the organization to a more sustainable long-term financial state, as well as positioning the center for growth for the future.
The University Center of Greenville is a consortium of higher education institutions dedicated to increasing access to educational opportunities for Upstate citizens. Greenville is one of the largest cities in the Southeast without its own University. To help our community maintain a competitive edge educationally, UCG was chartered to bring the undergraduate and graduate degrees from some of South Carolina’s top universities.
Students can choose from more than 75 bachelor completion (Junior and Senior level courses), Master’s and Doctorate degrees from Anderson University, Clemson University, Furman University, South Carolina State University, University of South Carolina and the University of South Carolina Upstate.
