Apply now for SC State Fair’s Ride of Your Life Scholarship

February 1, 2017

Each year, the South Carolina State Fair “Ride of Your Life” Scholarship Program awards a total of $300,000 in scholarships to high school students in South Carolina.

Fifty $6,000 scholarships will be awarded to students across South Carolina, for a $1,500 scholarship per year over a four-year period. These funds must be used at a South Carolina university, college, or institution, and may cover tuition or other educational expenses like on-campus housing, a computer, or textbooks.

Scholarships are awarded based on academic and extracurricular achievement, communication skills, need, and completeness of the application.

“We created this program to support young adults with big dreams for the future,” said State Fair General Manager Gary Goodman. “When patrons visit our annual fair to enjoy hand-crafted exhibits, novel foods, and thrilling rides, they’re supporting our mission to educate and empower the youth of South Carolina.”

Applications must be completed online at SCStateFair.org by March 15, 2017.
State Fair Scholars will be notified in early May.
