Batesburg-Leesville Police Department Detective receives special recognition

The Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center held its regular Multidisciplinary Team meeting on Thursday, December 17, 2015 in Lexington, South Carolina. During the meeting, Batesburg- Leesville Police Department Detective, Connie L. Billings, was recognized as the Lexington County Multidisciplinary Team Member of the Year for 2015.

Detective Billings, in conjunction with her Detective duties at Batesburg-Leesville Police Department, has been working with the Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center since April 2014. Detective Billings received the award based on her work with the organization and her conscientious efforts while investigating cases involving children in the Batesburg-Leesville community. Batesburg- Leesville Police Department staff, to include Chief W. Wallace Oswald, was on-hand to congratulate Detective Billings for her recognition.

Batesburg-Leesville Police Chief, W. Wallace Oswald, feels the recognition is well deserved. “Detective Billings carries out her work in a caring and conscientious manner, while ensuring that all cases are thoroughly investigated. She continually seeks opportunities to enhance working relationships with other law enforcement agencies and support organizations. Detective Billings is one of the many valued employees of the Batesburg-Leesville Police Department, who work tirelessly to ensure our citizens are safe and that offenders are held accountable for their criminal activities.”
