Beer-B-Que Bash III
May 1, 2011JAMES ISLAND, SC – Smoky Oak Taproom celebrates American craft beer this Saturday, May 7 with the third installment of their popular Beer-B-Que Bash. This semi-annual event will pull beer enthusiasts from all of the area with it’s rare and seasonal offerings from some of the best craft breweries in the country.
Smoky Oak Taproom has again teamed up with the James Island Messenger to bring you another outdoor bash that will also include an all-day cornhole tournament and live music from Reid Stone & Mac Leaphart (2-5 p.m.), Rawberry Jam (6-9 p.m.), and moving inside with Fragile Tomorrow (10 p.m.-1 a.m.).
More than 20 breweries will be represented and more than 50 beers will be available to sample. Some of the rare highlights include Dogfish Head’s Namaste,& Hell Hound, Terrapin’s Monks Revenge, Indiana Krunkles, Laguntias’s Undercover Investigation Shutdown Ale, Bear Republic’s Ryevalry Ale, and Bell’s Consecrator Dopplebock, just to name a few. Also, new to this spring’s Beer-B-Que bash will be several casks of great beers such as Ballast Point’s Sculpin IPA, Hot Summer Nights from Sweetwater, and local favorite Coast Breweries super rare “Smoatmeal” smoked (with hickory) milk stout.
The cost to get into the Beer-B-Que Bash is totally FREE, 6-oz. pours can be purchased for $2.50 or five for $10. In addition to all these great beers there will also be BBQ grilled corn, barbecue chicken, burgers, and ribs, and pizza from Paisanos.
