Manufacturing Company Investing $17.5 Million in South Carolina Facility

Boise Cascade Company (NYSE: BCC), is expanding its existing operations in Chester County. The company is investing an additional $17.5 million in the facility in a series of upgrade projects.  Boise is one of the largest producers of engineered wood products and plywood in North America and a leading U.S. wholesale distributor of building products.

In 2013, Boise Cascade acquired Chester Wood Products, a softwood plywood facility. Boise Cascade has continued to upgrade its existing Chester County operations located at 1445 Lancaster Highway in Chester, S.C., in response to growing customer demand.

In 2015, the company invested $23.5 million in a series of improvements to the facility, resulting in more efficient production capabilities and dozens of additional jobs. In total, Boise Cascade now has more than 295 full-time employees at its Chester County location.
