We’ve all seen those big dudes at the gym walking around like the Incredible Hulk, poking their chests out, and staring at themselves in the mirror.  While some of them drive me absolutely insane (Can you please stop admiring your reflection and just finish up with that squat-rack?!  Some of us need to use it and have places to be!), I can’t help but acknowledge that there must be something that they are doing right.  I mean, those muscles don’t just come from nothing!

The next time you go to the gym, take a look at all those well-built people in there.  You will notice that 90% of them have something in common: they bring one key piece of equipment from home.  “What might this magical tool be?” you ask.  I’ll give you a hint, it isn’t used until after the last grueling rep of your workout.  Have you guessed it yet?  It’s a protein shake.

Protein Shake 101

Oh, how we’ve heard about protein shakes.  But what should we put in them?  Just protein powder? Protein and a couple scoops a few of the 92730947809 powders that reside in the vitamin shops and supplement aisles.  Well, the answer is pretty simple if you understand why you should even consume a protein shake in the first place.

The point of a protein shake immediately following a workout is to replenish your body with what it lost!  I don’t care if you are trying to lose weight or build muscle, if you work out, you need to drink a protein shake.  Watch this video to learn why and to figure out what three simple ingredients you should be putting in your protein shake!!!
