Buncombe Street UMC to host senior living series

GREENVILLE, SC – February 10, 2014 – Buncombe Street United Methodist Church has joined with numerous Greenville-area agencies including The Woodlands at Furman for a series of lunch and learns on issues affecting seniors.

The first event in the series will feature Chris Brown, a Greenville attorney who will speak about power of attorney, living wills, and working through probate court. The lunch and learn will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 11:45 p.m. to 1 p.m. in the Truluck Dining Room at Buncombe St. United Methodist Church, 200 Buncombe St., Greenville SC, 20601.
 
Suggested donation for lunch is $5. Please contact Grover Putnam at (864) 232-7341, by February 22 for reservations. Cindy Johnson, community relations director at The Woodlands at Furman, said the Woodlands is a valued partner in this initiative with the church.

“The Woodlands at Furman is about helping seniors live a more active and empowering lifestyle,” Johnson said. “This series will help bring that information to all of Greenville.”
