Charleston Business Development Welcomes New Team Member

CHARLESTON, SC – March 16, 2011 – The Charleston Business Development office is pleased to announce the newest member of their team, Amanda Church. Amanda joined Charleston Business Development after 3 years of working in PR, marketing and event planning.

In her role, she will assist the director with the development and execution of the strategic plan. Starting in May, Amanda will coordinate the daily operations of FS2 (Flagship 2), an expansion of the Charleston Digital Corridor’s highly successful Flagship. In addition, Amanda will assist with media relations and marketing efforts for the City of Charleston’s Business Development Office and Digital Corridor initiatives and coordinate the annual events, including the iFive:K and the BASH.

Prior to moving to Charleston, Amanda served as the event coordinator for the Annual Benefit Concert for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame held in Raleigh, North Carolina. She also developed, planned, marketed and executed multiple events in conjunction with the benefit concert. Prior to rock n’ roll, Amanda served as an Account Coordinator at French West Vaughan, one of the largest PR agencies in the Southeast. There, she developed and executed integrated PR and marketing programs for a variety of clients including Wrangler, Justin Boots, Divi Resorts, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Nfinity Shoes. Amanda received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing from East Carolina University.
