CHARLESTON, SC – The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce an upcoming inaugural Legislative Appreciation Reception. The Legislative Appreciation Reception is an opportunity to interact with many of the state’s business leaders, legislators and local officials. This premiere event begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday July 24 at the Citadel’s E. Johnson Hagood Stadium, Club Level.
The 2012 legislative session is over and the Chamber wants to thank the members of the legislative delegation for their support of the business community’s legislative agenda. At this year’s event, we will honor and pay special tribute to South Carolina Lieutenant Governor Glenn McConnell. McConnell has been a champion for our region since he began serving as a state Senator representing the 41st District. His leadership over the last thirty years has been a tremendous asset for our region.The Charleston Metro Chamber provides a critical platform for business leaders to meet with legislators on a local, state and national level. The increased access to legislative leaders gives our community and members a stronger voice in the policies that impact economic opportunity and the quality of life in Charleston.
