Clothes for Kids back to school event continuing through the weekend

The Salvation Army of the Midlands is currently hosting its annual Clothes for Kids back to school event and inviting shoppers to provide for underserved children who do not have adequate clothing and school supplies!
Clothes for Kids tables are located at Columbiana Centre (near Hollister) and Columbia Place Mall (near inside entrance of Burlington Coat Factory) until Sunday, August 7 at 5 p.m.
At each Clothes for Kids table, a display board with cards listing children’s names, ages and clothing sizes are set up so shoppers can select a child’s card and purchase clothes and supplies for a child. Table attendants will be available to assist shoppers in both locations during regular mall hours.
The Salvation Army is asking shoppers to visit the tables this weekend and select a child’s card and shop. There are currently 43 children’s cards at Columbiana Centre that have not been signed out. There are currently 42 children’s cards at Columbia Place Mall that have not been signed out.

Tax free weekend started today and will run though Sunday, children’s clothing and school supplies qualify for the tax benefit.
